Updated: May 23, 2019

Welcome dear readers.

Welcome to Pantun and Stuffs to all pantun lovers or those who kinda just want to know more about pantun. This site shall promise to be more than just a site listing all of pantun that exist in the world. This site shall serve to be a place to have an insightful reading on pantun, conventional or not, the usual one or the unheard one and more.

We will have posting on basic things like

  • What a pantun is?

  • How to construct pantun?

  • Example of pantun usage in daily life/ceremony.

to more in depth one like

  • What flowers are commonly used in pantun?

  • Who is Harun Mat Piah?

  • What’s with burung tiung and perdu?

We will also cover topics that may be related with pantun, directly or indirectly. Examples are, peribahasa, words usage, Malay grammar (favourites!), classical Malay language, etc etc.

The main objective for this site, again, is not just to be a site for you to find samples of pantun to be used in essay or speech. Here’s the place for us to really understand pantun, to have a better reading and understanding at it. To see the world through a pantun, and the intricacy and complexity of this traditional poem.

Therefore, dear readers, stay tuned as we update more and more postings that hopefully will give an insight unlike any others on pantun.
